over the weekend

This past weekend we definitely celebrated the onset of summer. Warm middle of the day naps next to the breezy open window covered in an extra salty layer of skin. Spending time at the brewery, which is loaded with people and their dogs, all seeming to love Odin (and Odin loving the attention). Trips into town to visit friends while they work or just to visit friends, to watch the boats and waves roll in to our little island. Late night birthday dinner parties followed by bonfires. This weekend, we definitely celebrated the summer solstice. This is how we'll spend our summer and I'm so excited.

    1. <3 It's really the only nice light in our house so I have to take advantage of it!

  2. Looks like summery perfection! Here we are just grey and rainy and foggy (which I love... not complaining at all). Naptime is more like snuggling in under blankets with the windows curtained, very different to your sweet and sunny open window naps. And I have to just say, Odin looks SO freaking cute in his little suspenders! Adorable.

    1. Well, after finally leaving that veil of fog and winter, I'm excited to be able to visit the beach and lay with no blankets on and a wide open window. But, I know before long, I'll want the blankets and quilts and chills of winter again. I love the seasons so much.
