The show was a success! I sold all three pieces during the three hours of the opening night. And we had time to be silly afterwards before going out for a celebratory drink. Odin's so awesome at these sorts of events. He just wants to visit with everyone and never cries. Even afterwards when we stayed out a little later than bedtime, he thoroughly enjoyed drinking his water from one of the spoons at the restaurant.

my darling
Sorry everyone for the lack of posts. I'm in the middle of an art craze! There are so many things I want to make and we have a gallery show coming up. I'll be on the radio next week!! I'm currently giving away a plush doll (like all the ones Odin has) on my art blog. Everyone should try and enter!

wooden toys
Zak and I love our wooden toys. We've always preferred the quality of wooden vs. plastic toys. I feel like they're safer, lead to more creative uses, and I can make them! I'm hoping to make a series of painted wooden blocks in December and start to work on painted blocks for the Etsy. I'll be able to add this to our series of wooden puzzles, jumping dolls, and other little activity sets. Be excited!!

handmade toy love
I really want to make more toys for Odin and for sale. He loves the toys I've made him so far and always reaches for them out of the bunches of toys he has. Maybe it's the colors? I'm not sure, but I intend to work very hard on making as many things as possible over the next few months. I need to load up my Etsy page and make some extra money doing what I love to do!! Make sure you check the art blog periodically to see if there are any new pieces/giveaways!

Little Wooden Toys
So, we've started a small toy company. We'll be making wooden toys for a few local shops as well as for on-line sales. This little wooden puzzle is the prototype for this style. We'll be making these by hand and they'll be hand-painted so each will be unique. Lucky little Odin will have lots of wooden toys as we continue our adventures in toy-making!
Please continue to check out my art blog for more photos and any art updates!
